Sharks Rugby Girls supporting Mary’s Meals
Playing to Feed the Next Child on the Rugby World Cup Tour
Published onThe amazing Sharks Girls are travelling to Brighton and Hove in the UK for the Rugby World Cup from 5th to 7th September, and while doing so, are raising awareness of Mary’s Meals. Players from Blackrock College, Old Belvedere RFC, Wanderers FC and Terenure College RFC make up this wonderful team.

This is the stuff that dreams are made of. Their hard work, team spirit and dedication have gotten them this far and now these big-hearted young ladies will also use this exciting opportunity to help children less fortunate than themselves. By supporting Mary’s Meals, they are enabling other children to have a chance to realise their dreams too as they receive a nutritious meal in school each day, leading them to gain an education and a way out of poverty. As the girls shine on the pitch, their wonderful support will be helping other students to shine in the classroom as they no longer feel the hunger pangs that block their concentration, leading them to achieve better results. No matter the score, the Shark Girls are true champions!

Mary’s Meals wishes the Shark Girls all the very best in the Rugby World Cup! We are all behind you – go show them what you’re made of!
