We are delighted to be recruiting for an Operations Manager to join Mary’s Meals Ireland on a 2-year fixed term contract. This is a pivotal role supporting the growth, governance and operational effectiveness of Mary’s Meals Ireland. 

Bringing together leadership, operational oversight and fundraising support, you will play a key role in strengthening our systems, supporting our people and stewarding resources responsibly, to support the growth of our mission in Ireland. 

The role:

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will thrive in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment, working closely with colleagues, volunteers, the Board and Mary’s Meals International. You will provide strong operational leadership, ensuring effective governance, financial management, risk management and high-quality management information to support decision-making and impact.

You will balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, supporting fundraising growth while ensuring the organisation operates with integrity, compliance and care.

You will:

  • Lead, motivate and develop your direct reports and volunteers, fostering a supportive, delivery and values focused culture.
  • Support the strategic and operational management of fundraising, governance, risk, compliance, health & safety and data protection.
  • Provide clear and timely management information, including reporting on budgets, fundraising performance, volunteer engagement, digital trends and risk.
  • Support the Executive Director, team and volunteer groups to maximise fundraising efforts and strengthen relationships.
  • Organise and support Board and Audit & Risk Subcommittee meetings, including papers, logistics and minutes.
  • Participate in annual budgeting, monitor financial performance and prepare the annual audit file.
  • Act as a key liaison with external providers including insurers and advisors.
  • Manage ad hoc requests from Mary’s Meals International and support cross-organisational collaboration.


We are looking for:

Strong leadership and proven people management skills, with experience of working alongside volunteers.

  • Proven experience managing budgets, financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with data, analysis and management information.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using CRM systems.
  • Experience with Office 365 and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends or away from home when required.
  • A strong alignment with the mission and values of Mary’s Meals.
