Step by Step
Each year, people from all over Ireland join our walk to Knock, raising vital funds to help feed hungry children in some of the world’s poorest communities. In light of Covid-19, this year’s walks will proceed on a reduced scale.
Traditionally, walkers set off from five starting points across the country. Over nine days – between 7-15 August – participants on each route cover more than 200 km as they make their way to the Marian shrine in County Mayo.
Covid-19 restrictions present a major challenge this year. In order to more easily adhere to the rules of lockdown, we’re introducing the option of a virtual or circuit walk, which you can complete nearer to your home.
In adherence with these restrictions, we will not be holding a bucket collection along any of this year’s routes.. So, we kindly ask for you to donate to Step by Step online here.
We hope that you can join us for this year’s walk to Knock. Every little helps, especially now when so many face great difficulty finding food and keeping their families safe.
If you’re unable to take part in a walk this year but would still like to help out, please let us know.
Your contribution will go towards feeding vulnerable children in some of the world's poorest countries.
Please select your preferred route from the options below and sign up to let us know when you're joining us.
